Good morning, sunshine!
Wednesday morning we were up at the crack of dawn and chasing sunlight -- we caught some! One of the great things about east Tennessee is we have 4 wonderful and distinct seasons, and no matter which one you're in, it's your favorite. Spring has been absolutely glorious and getting up to photograph one of our favorite spots at sunrise makes us remember why we like what we do so much. The cool air and that magic magic light. Good morning!

Hedstrom Design: One year and growing!
Last Thursday our good friend, Sara Hedstrom, celebrated the first anniversary of her firm, Hedstrom Design (www.hedstromdesign.com). We were delighted to attend an open house celebrating her first year. Sara is a talented and hard working landscape designer with a talented team of folks working for her. We have had the opportunity to see and photograph many of her projects, from residential to commercial and all things in between. We're always amazed by her intensity and enthusiasm -- and knowledge of plants! Congrats, Sara! We wish you continued success and growth.
Hiking with cameras
Another activity we captured for our friends at Blackberry Farm was hiking. And for interest, we threw in a camera. You should see the shots our models took of us! Pretty funny. Thanks to Josh and Camilla for being such good sports. We did make them hike up and down hills, sit in the spa (no fighting us on that one), and canoe in Walland Pond. We got great shots and enjoyed spending the day with them. Thanks!
Cycling
Hello out there! It's been a busy few weeks for us here. Lots of shoots, editing, pre-production meetings -- exciting times. So we let the blogging slide a little! We thought we'd update with some of our favorite images from the past couple of weeks. We were busy working with Blackberry Farm to update their activities brochure. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and great models. This pic is one of our favorites from the Cycling shoot. The models were good sports and got a great workout, we kept them going up and down a few hills for a couple of hours! Thanks -- y'all were awesome!

Chef Ryan Hardy
Way back on Tuesday the 22nd of April we had the opportunity to photograph Chef Ryan Hardy and his team from the Little Nell in Aspen, Colorado. What a delight! Chef Hardy was most generous with his time and spirit, not only to our crew but the kitchen crew as well. His food was beautiful -- called Rocky Mountain Artisan by some his focus on local ingredients and solid technique was evident. He led the team well and shared knowledge and stories! Thanks again for your time, Chef Hardy. We encourage those at home to visit the Little Nell and experience Chef Hardy's delicious cuisine for themselves soon!
Last Friday Thank You!
The Last Friday event we hosted on April 25th was our best yet! Thanks to the Spurgeon Boys for FANTASTIC music! Please check out their website for more information: www.spurgeonboys.com. Have them play at your next get together. They were a hit with folks of all ages. The boys were even gracious enough to give us their CD which we listened to again and again the next day! The work of John Coykendall was well received. We look forward to hosting his next show soon. Thanks to all who came out and stepped into our photo booth. We look forward to seeing you again real soon!
