LE CREUSET Ad in FOOD + WINE October issue

FOOD + WINE's October issue features an ad we shot this summer for LeCreuset.  Thanks to the fine folks at Ferebee/Lane who designed and art directed this campaign.   Turn your issues to page 58 to see one of three ads in the campaign, this one is called "date night."  Stay tuned to see the other ads!

GARDEN AND GUN November issue

GARDEN AND GUN has a story in their November 2008 issue about the top things to eat in the south penned by the great John T. Edge.  The pimento cheese and lavash served by our friends at Blackberry Farm made the list!  Congrats!  When GARDEN AND GUN needed a picture, they asked us.  We are delighted to see the photograph of the buttery and delicious pimento cheese as a full page.  Trust us, it tastes as good as it looks!  Get thee to Blackberry!

Hickory Construction

Yesterday we spent some time with our friends at Hickory Construction.  We have often photographed their buildings, yesterday we focused on the people that build those buildings!  It was great fun.  We visited 3 job sites, 2 residential and 1 commercial and photographed the people that make it all possible.  The folks were great!  Hickory is an amazing company: great values, great people, great buildings.  We love working with them any chance we get!

Mountain House

We photographed a new offering at Blackberry Farm last week called Mountain House.  It is an amazing 4 bedroom home, tucked up on the mountain that Blackberry Farm is now offering its guests.  What a great place to get together with family and friends!  The bedrooms and bathrooms are well appointed as Blackberry Farm does so well.  In addition there are great common areas: a kitchen, screened in porch, living room, dining room...We didn't want to leave at the end of the shoot!  And the views -- breathtaking.  We wish our friends at Blackberry Farm great success with this latest offering.

Family Portrait Week

Thanks to all the families who participated in Family Portrait week the week of October 6th.  It was our first week to offer a special to those who booked a family portrait session.  We met some really wonderful people!  Thank you for trusting beall + thomas to photograph your families.  We hope to see you again!  Thanks also to all the wonderful businesses in the area that displayed our cards and helped us get the word out.  We are so lucky to live in such a supportive and kind community.

Toad Hall with Suzanne Kasler

At the end of September we spent a couple of days with Suzanne Kasler (and her lovely assistant, Laura Leigh Graves) photographing TOAD HALL, and amazing home created by none other than Kreis Beall (that's right, she does more than take pictures!).  We had a wonderful time, long days followed by gracious dinners with the team.  Thank you all.  Suzanne and Kreis, you take everything to the next level!  We love the pictures we created and enjoyed working as a team once more.  We look forward to our next project!

Dr. Gold

We photographed Dr. Gold and the Gold Skincare clinic in Nashville, TN in September for an upcoming issue of MedEsthetics Magazine.  Dr. Gold and his staff (thanks Jessica in marketing) we incredibly helpful in letting us interrupt their busy schedule.  Thanks to the folks at Creative Age out in LA for art directing and producing everything.  MK, you are great!  We look forward to seeing the issue in November.  Dr. Gold, we wish you continued success.  Your hard work and passion are an inspiration.

Chef Nate Appleman

We photographed Chef Nate Appleman of San Francisco's A16 September 16th.  He was very nice and his food was DELICIOUS.  We were fortunate to sample some of his creations.  One of our favorites was a simple raw zucchini salad with olive oil, mint and a fresh parmesan cheese and green and black olives.  Fresh ingredients are so amazing!  We wish you well, Chef.  Thanks for letting us photograph you!  Cheers.

Wine Spectator

We had the pleasure of shooting for WINE SPECTATOR in September.  The very talented Alex de Toth art directed from afar (NYC -- e-mail and phone calls are great!) and we have some lovely lovely shots!  We learned later that one of the images will grace the COVER (that's right, COVER -- we are so excited we had to write it in all caps!) November 30, 2008.  We'll keep you posted!  Thanks to the lovely folks at WINE SPECTATOR!
