Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles: Todd Bienz, NOVEMBER 2008
In the November issue of ATLANTA HOMES & LIFESTYLES, beall + thomas photography had the chance to work with designer Todd Bienz to photograph a condo he designed in midtown Atlanta. We enjoyed the opportunity to work with Todd and his team and love the way the folks at AH & L put the piece together! Be sure to get a copy -- it's lovely! We love the opportunity to work with such great people!
The Three Sisters
beall + thomas photography has captured some beautiful images of the The Three Sisters development in Walland, TN. The development is named The Three Sisters because of the view of three mountain peaks from Maryville College. The developers are focused on conservation and preservation and are also planning a low impact development on the 5,000 plus acres of mountain and forest land on Chilhowee Mountain. The views from the property are outstanding -- we love what we do!

Behind the Lens at Blackberry Farm
This past weekend, beall + thomas photography and the amazing David Marx put on a Behind the Lens workshop for guests at Blackberry Farm. It was an introduction to digital photography. We had such a great team in place to help make this event a success. Thanks to our students, we hope you gained good knowledge and experience and enjoyed the class! And thanks to our generous and gracious hosts at Blackberry Farm, we can't remember when we've been so well feed! We are looking forward to the next Behind the Lens in February -- stay tuned!

The Bacon Man

This past week we had the chance to photograph the amazing bacon man himself, Mr. Allan Benton, of Madisonville, TN. He will be featured in the soon to be released book on Blackberry Farm. His ham and bacon are used nationwide and he uses the same techniques his grandfather taught him years ago. It is always so much fun to visit with him and see him and his crew in action. To learn more about Mr. Benton and his bacon please visit his website at www.bentonshams.com.

The Modern Studio at RMSP, August 2009
Make your plans! Our own Heather Anne Thomas will be teaching a course next August at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Montana. It is a Professional Studies course called The Modern Studio. Heather Anne will share her model for creating a studio that works. She'll share her ideas on how to operate a photo studio that can fulfill the needs of a variety of clients and how to build a team that makes it possible to attract and accommodate these clients with different needs and handle an increased workload as your business grows. We know she will have a great visit and great students. Please visit www.rmsp.com for more information and to register for the course.

Clayton Homes "i-house"

We had the chance to work with Clayton Homes for the first time on a really exciting new home they are introducing. The new "i-house" is amazing and has many energy-saving features along with a sleek and modern look. The home has a rainwater catchment system and optional solar panels. We are so excited to have been able to photograph this exciting and cutting-edge design by Clayton Homes. Here is a link to an article about the "i-house": http://www.knoxnews.com/news/2008/oct28/claytons-i-house-on-display/

The countdown has begun Brett and Edna!! We wish you all the best and are thrilled to share your special time with you.
Photo Plus Expo
The beall + thomas team recently traveled to NYC for the annual Photo Plus Expo October 23-26. We had jam-packed days attending seminars and learning new techniques. We were also able to meet with old and new friends in the industry to catch up and pick their brains on the latest and greatest in photography and retouching. Zane was able to spend a day with the amazing Jean Miele, thank you Jean. It was Zane's first trip to the Big Apple and we had a great time. We came back refreshed and ready!!
